What to do if you had an HIV risk behavior ?

Unprotected sex with unknown partner or known HIV positive partner ?
Sharing needles ?
Professional exposure to blood ?

If the risk situation happened less than 72 hours ago, you may qualify for Post-Exposure Prophylaxis (PEP). Contact urgently (day or night) the National Infectious Diseases Service (Service National des Maladies Infectieuses) at the Centre Hospitalier de Luxembourg (phone: 4411-3091 or 4411-2730) or the nearest hospital on duty.

If the risk situation happened more than 72 hours ago, still search medical advice (but it is less urgent, as PEP is no longer supposed to be efficient).
